Project Revitalize a historic brand, while staying true to their heritage. Fisherman’s Grotto No. 9 is a fast casual fish eatery and take away crab stand established in 1935 in San Francisco’s Historic Fisherman’s Wharf District.

Results I crafted a refreshed brand identity that honored the restaurant’s legacy while providing a fresh modern revamp for the iconic brand. The update included renaming the restaurant to No. 9 S.F. – Fish Kitchen & Bar, recreating the original number mark and incorporating the iconic S.F. location, framing the mark within a hexagonal shape, inspired by the Dungeness crab shell, adding a subtle nod to their seafood focus.
